Repetition often breeds perfection

No doubt some of you may be saying, “This looks like the same old thing over and over again”. Well, there is some truth to that. However, repetition often breeds perfection. Ask Tiger Woods how he has become the greatest golfer in the world. I hate to sound like a broken record, but hard work will always out perform talent any day the week. When you look at some of my earlier sports images I believe you can say that they have dramatically gotten better with time. This is due to one thing, repetition.
I can’t be afraid to beat a subject matter or approach into the ground. In the process I may receive some criticism along the way, but in the end if I work hard, I will out perform my critics.
Here we have Will Blackmon from the Green Bay Packers. Same basic three light setup I have been using. Will of course is the real thing, but I must say he made a very convincing subject and it was hard not to get a killer image of him. In addition he was a great guy as well.
In this image we have Morgan Beck Volleyball sensation and currently a senior at the University of California and also a member of the USA National Volleyball team. This image has received more interest than any of my sports images to date. I wonder why? If Nike doesn’t pick her up as a sponsored athlete, I would be shocked.
